  1. Lovely area . Suggest a trip out Deeside towards Ballater You will love it !

  2. oh god ! scotland the most amazing place in the world   just go OF the road  and than where ever it takes you  park besides the road and walk down and you  or well i have seen the most amazing spots  deer, waterfalls lakes so blue its unnatural  just go a different road  and you never now where it takes you  be adventurous  take the head road to the highlands  and than park NOT at the usual places but just any where    dont forget your camera  , i made the best pictures ever  and i traveled around the world  i was lucky because it was sunny bright weather  but scotland  wouw  i never forget! go with the flow and park ! X lucky you

  3. How about Haddo House or Pitmedden House?  There are some great walks and plenty space for the kids to run around.

If I remember rightly you only pay to go inot the actual house itself at Haddo.

  4. Hazel Head Park, No river but I go to school there & My a some friends Walk down there every day :)

    It a nice place

If u want a peaceful time go on a weekend

Monday-Friday Hazel Head Academy Kids are down there :)

  5. there is a river next to Hillhead halls near bridge of don. The park is called Seaton park take the number one or number two bus direction University. Get off at Lidl which is on your left as you head down the road (King Street) the park is behind Lidl and then you walk to the other side you are at a river with lots of picnic benches. Its very nice. Dont let my directions with Lidl etc put you off its really nice.

  6. Banchory is lovely.

    Hazelhead Park..

    Not Duthie Park..

    : )

  7. Donview Centre, Lord's Throat, on an unclassified road between Monymusk and Keig. It's near the Don (access to water a bit further along the road), there are several walks in the forest behind the centre (even up Millstone Hill if energetic), and you may even glimpse an osprey.

  8. Drum castle out towards Banchory is nice

Fyvie Castle out towards Turriff & Banff is also good.

A really nice place deep in the countryside is Burn o' Vat on the way to Ballater. I used to go for picnics there all the time when I was younger.

If you have no transport then why not just go to one of the parks in Aberdeen (Seaton, Hazlehead or Johnston Gardens).
