Question:

Picture issues?

I put a picture on my 360 profile and it uploaded correctly and everything. Then I went to change it, and when I clicked "edit picture" it took me to some members directory. Every time I try to change the picture (or just take it off), I'm taken to a members directory. What's the deal? Thanks.

  1. The reason you are having so many problems with your 360 pictures  is .. we are losing our Yahoo 360 accounts very soon according to the Yahoo product blog you can access by going to this link:

    http://blog.360.yahoo.com/product_360

There are many problems that will not be fixed by Yahoo on the 360, and they are getting worse each passing day.

I urge you to go to the product blog and read the information for the last three postings by yahoo about all of the changes that are coming to us soon.

  2. There's a difference between the Yahoo Members Profile and Y!360. If you've uploaded an image to Y!360's personal photos module, then you're only option there should be to remove the image or adjust an avatar. If you uploaded a picture to your "Members Profile" - then the "Edit Picture" option is related to that. According to http://flickr.com/help/forum/en-us/56845... , that Members Profile feature isn't working anymore.

Although, it is possible that there is a glitch in your 360 space.

NOTE: The Y!360 team is no longer addressing bug reports, as it prepares to launch a new social-networking system. See http://blog.360.yahoo.com/product_360 for more details. The 360 team blog is also accessible via the "Yahoo! 360 News" link in the upper right corner of your 360 space.

This is how changing your 360 picture in the personal photos module is supposed to work:

Make sure a JPEG formatted photo (with .jpg, .jpeg, .jpe extension) under 5MB is saved to your hard drive.

    - Click your "My Page" link at the top

    - Click "Edit Profile Photos" over the empty picture frame

    - Click "Browse" and upload photo into an empty field. Then click one "use as primary" radio button on the right before saving.

You can't upload more than 4 profile pictures (this includes an avatar). Make sure that you are following the 360 Personal Photo guidelines here: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/gui...

Then, come back to Yahoo! Answers if you want to display it there too. Click the "My Profile" link to the upper right of this Yahoo! Answers page, then click "Edit My Info" in the top left box on the Answers profile page. Scroll down to the image section and check the option of showing the 360 picture. Click Preview and then the OK button. Then, wait. The image will blank (or old) until the system updates it.

  3. Some users are experiencing a delay with the 360 avatar showing. it can take some time to show but it will eventually so try to be be patient.

Note: It has been reported that users have waited 1-2 days before the 360 avatar shows.
