Picture not clear on my 42 inch LCD?

Hey everyone... i recently got a 42 inch LCD 1080p hdtv... but the picture quality is not really good. i connected it with rca cables and have regular Direct tv satellite. Also when watching a dvd movie, the picture quality is not that clear and crisp. What can i do to get the best use of my new tv?

If you want to get the most out of your TV, subscribe to High Definition, and make sure you connect using HDMI or component--your choice!  As far as watching DVD's, get a Blu Ray player for true hi-def movies!
