Picture on my sony bravia kdl 37p3020?

picutre dosen't seem very good most of the time. pixelating? when trying to watch sports.backgrounds can appear pretty fuzzy.been like this from new.ratios are 8000:1, but from what i can make out there is no standard for this between manufacturers. please help

    Take it back if you are not happy, or contact consumer affairs.


  2. I am sorry to say that it is because you are watching standard definition (SD) content on an HDTV. Some programmes will be better than others depending on how much bandwidth a channel has for a particular programme. You will find that your tv is a good one for SD but your old CRT tvs are better for SD. It's up to you what you do but I would consider perhaps getting Freesat. It costs around £100 for the dish and box but at least you get BBC HD, ITV HD and soon Channel 4 HD.

    Connecting a freeview box shouldn't help any more than the built in one but it may be worth trying, in case there is a dodgy connection internally. I doubt it though. If you do that though make sure you have it connected via RGB scart.

  3. Check your power to the TV. If it is too low or noisy it will cause problems.
