Picture recovery?

People always say once you delete your photos they're gone for good. I don't believe that there has to be a way to get them back. A year ago My little sister deleted THE ONLY PICTURES FROM MY BIG SISTER'S WEDDING. How do i get them back? I have a Nikon L12 and a PNY SD 2 GB memory card.

if you store it in a memory card you can always get it back.

just make sure that the memory card is not formatted.
