Picture size on FreeView box?

Question

I have got FreeView built into my TV. It works great, but there's just one thing. On certain channels, the width ofthe picture is smaller than it should be, causing black to be at either side of the screen. Channel 4 1 is currently showing the TV program "Friends" and it is like that. Channel 1 is showing "Eastenders", but the picture is full screen.

I have checked the TV settings and they are set to full screen.

What is the problem?

on your FREEVIEW box go to menu then find some sort of settings for picture size and set it to 16:9. I think it is
