Pictures from video camera? HELP!!!?

Hi! I have a Sony Handycam Camera Recorder and I bought a Memory Stick Duo. I have the camera plugged in, the computer is recongnizing it. Whenever I want to use the USB streaming tool, then it takes the video BUT how do you get the pictures off of the camera? I use picture package but that doesn't work?? Step by step guide PLEASE!!! (School project)

You can keep trying what you are doing - which obviously does not work, or you can get a card reader, take the memory card out of the camcorder and put it in the cad reader and get to the pictures that way.

The other thing you can try is put the camera in "Memory" mode.

My Sony camcorder has a couple of choices on the switch when I turn it on... Camera, Memory, Play/Edit, Off... When I put it in Memory mode and the USB cable is connected to the computer, the memory card mounts as just another external mass storage device... but if that does not work for you or if your camcorder somehow has a different set of selections on that "mode" button, then just use the card reader and don't worry about it.
