Pictures of teachers?

hi i live in new zealand and i was wondering if you know of any way to see pictures of your school teachers online? I have already tried facebook but is there like some website dedicated to it or something? I'm 15 and still at school.

Try the school's website maybe?  As far as facebook, myspace, etc, we've been discouraged from using them because people can (and probably would) post innappropriate things on them or one of your friends friend on their myspace may have something completely innappropriate on it.  It's a matter of ethics and professionalism to me.

I don't know of any sites that have pictures of most teachers.  There are some which give you the option of uploading a picture, but very few seem to take advantage of that feature.  If you are looking for images of a particular teacher, you might try putting their name into Google Images.

you are in a generation of kids that think that everything is available on the internet.

We on the other hand - grew up without the internet. Most teachers I know do not keep profiles on those sites.

Why do you want to see pictures of your teachers online. I'm a teacher and I have other friends who are teachers. Many of us are on facebook and myspace, but we alter our names slightly, or use nicknames to protect our privacy. The only students I have allowed access to my online profiles are on myspace, where I put little personal information, but allow senior students to post comments to me.

You need to respect your teacher's online privacy. If they wanted you to access them online, they would tell you where to find it all. Unless your school has  a website, of course.
