Everton’s Steven Pienaar let out his hope that his fourth spell at Goodison Park could prove to be the lucky charm, as the Toffees look to end their 17 year title drought this coming season.
The South African International signed a four-year deal with the Merseyside outfit late in July, following his impressive six month loan spell at the club last season.
All in all, the 30-year old has got 147 appearances for the Toffees under his belt and netted 16 goals during this period.
However, despite his notable contributions for Everton during his career, the midfielder is yet to claim his first title with the Goodison Park team.
The Merseysiders’ last major trophy came way back in 1995, when they defeated Manchester United in the final to lift the FA Cup.

He told the reporters in an interview, “It’s my fourth time signing at the club so hopefully it’s time to win a trophy. It took a few weeks to get the deal done but I’m delighted to be back. Hopefully this time around we can win a cup or qualify for Europe.”

Pienaar indicated that he was overwhelmed on winning the trust of so many people, and vowed to repay their faith this coming season.
“The manager has shown so much belief in me-that’s the only way I can pay him back. It’s a special feeling to know so many people were behind me. Some of my friends told me ‘we want you back and this is where you belong,” he added.
