Everton midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marouane-Fellaini-c24295 won’t be too interested in decamping from Goodison Park in January, despite drawing interest from top-flight clubs.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Belgium-c2850 International has been in blistering form since the start of the season, hitting the back of the net eight times in 15 matches and has been the mainstay of the Toffees offence.
However, a lot of rumours and speculations have emerged recently regarding his future at Merseyside. Earlier, the 25-year old had expressed his desire of plying his trade elsewhere, claiming that he had met his desired goals at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c39043. He retracted his
comments later though.
According to some sources, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 are two EPL teams who are monitoring the situation of the midfielder, with some surmises even linking him with the ultra-rich French club, Paris Saint Germain.
Nonetheless, Pienaar was confident that Fellaini was going nowhere during the January window.
The South African International unravelled that the Belgian footballer was enjoying his stay at Goodison Park, and was determined to help the team finish inside the top-four this term.
He also called upon his manager to leave no stone unturned to retain his services.
“He's enjoying his game at the moment so I don't think he'll want to disturb that progress,” he told the reporters.
“He's clever enough not to go. I don't think he will go in January. I’m sure the manager will keep hold of him.”
Fellaini joined the Merseyside club in September 2008 from Standard Liege for a whooping 15 million pounds transfer fee. Since then, he has represented the Toffees in 151 matches and has got 28 goals under his belt.
Although the inventive tactician is a huge favourite amongst the fans and holds a key position in the squad, Pienaar refused to rule out the player’s departure from the club if a big club comes knocking on the door. And if that was to happen, the 30-year
old insisted that he will respect his team-mate’s decision.
“He's a grown man and everyone makes his own decisions. You have to make decisions that have risks in life,” he added.
