Question:

Piercing after care question...?

Hi, about 5 weeks ago i had my left ear lobe pierced, i changed it after 2 and a half weeks, which i know is meant to be too soon but it was fine:-)...yesterday i put a stretcher in it, and the point of the stretcher caught the inside of my ear causing it to bleed, so i put a stainless steel stud in it and cleaned it with hot salt water.

what i want to know is, am i ok to wear silver studs in it as i was told it may react if there is a small cut in my ear??

secondly about 1 week ago i had a pinna piercing, in which i am wearing a horse shoe thing, can anyone tell me how long it will be before i am able to change the earring?

thanks,

James.

  1. Sounds like you have a rip in your ear. The only a silver stud will probably do is cause an infection if it isn't of sterling steel. And or irritate it like crazy.  It could a while for your piercing to heal since you injured it. The thing with tapers is that you must GRADUALLY gauge upward. Because of the risk of ripping/tearing and blow outs. Which hurt equally. =S

So, yeah, gauging takes time, patience and some extra cash for the extra jewelry. Hoped I helped a bit! Good luck! ^_^
