I don't think it has it's own name. I think you're right in saying labret and snakebites :)

Taking care of it:

Keep taking ibuprofen regularly (ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory which reduces swelling, redness and pain). Holding ice against the piercing is both soothing and reduces swelling.

Cleaning:

Cotton buds are brilliant :) Dip the end of a cotton but in a salt&water solution and gently clean around each of the piercings. Do this at least twice a day!!!

Rinsing your mouth with an alcohol free mouthwash would also be beneficial to your piercings. It can clean away any bad bacteria that is forming around the piercings on the inside of your mouth,

The healing process will probably be around 4-6 weeks. Although a lot of peoples piercing heal in 3-4 weeks and swelling should be mostly gone after about a week and a half.

i just got my snake bites done two days ago, when you go to get the piercing they wont do those kind right away (at least not if you get someone who knows what theyre doing) cause the spikes are to heavy for the healing process, they pull down on the bottom lip and it wont heal right. you have to get the regular Labretws done first, then once theyre healed you can put those in. thats what im plaining on doing too, i was gonna get those right away too until they explained why i cant.

they told me to fully complete the healing process itll take about 3 months, and you cant take them out till after the first three months.

to take care of them, to make sure they dont get infected, you have to swish salt water once a day, and swish a mixture of 50% listerine mouthwash, and 50% water after everytime you eat, drink, or smoke. also, its recomended to buy this stuff called H2Ocean, its specifically made to clean the outside of the piercings. it comes in a spray can, they should have it at the place you get the piercing at.

you shouldnt give oral s*x until after theyre healed either.

they should tell you all this, or give you a care sheet after they do them.

youll probably have to go back 7 to 10 days later for a check up too.

EDIT: hm...maybe i heard wrong about the healing process length, seeing as two other people said about three weeks....

yea snakebites. labret goes thru ur lip so if thats what u want then thats different

it takes 2-3 months for it to heal and a salt or saline solution is best for cleaning it

it is just snakebites, and a labret piercing with a spiked piece of jewellery.

you are looking at about 6 weeks before it is healed, and you will have to wash the piercings with salt and water at least twice a day until then.
