  1. You can't talk clearly for about a week after getting it. It is quite painful.

  2. http://www.bmezine.com

I have venoms, but no experience with this kind of piercing

if you read the experiences in the website it might help

  3. the act of getting it pierced is the easy part. The worst is the sound that it makes when the needle goes through your tongue. kinda a crunching noise.  I had mine done for several years, and finally took it out. Talkin is gonna be a bit of a problem. I would say try your best not to talk for a bit and head straight for a slurpee to ice your tongue down. The more you use your tongue, the worse its gonna swell. It's a muscle you just punched a good sized hole through, it's gonna be kinda pissy. Make sure you stay on your aftercare and DONT Play With It!! Again, it's tryin to heal around that piece of steel and the more you move it around and mess with it the harder and longer a time your gonna have healing that hole and cause scar tissue on the bottom of your tongue. The swelling should last between 3 and 5 days give or take, depending on how good you are with upkeep. other than that it's pretty much a breeze. Just remember, now your gonna have to relearn how to eat with a fork without snaring your barbell and how to chew without busting out a tooth. :) good luck

  4. i got mine done about 6 yrs ago.

    this is how it went

swish with the mouthwash they give you

they clamp your tongue, pierce it.

put the bar in. turn your tongue to s***w the ball on

you swish and spit mouthwash again.

you are given after care inst and sent home

don't eat hot hot or cold cold stuff afterwords. give it a few days

everyone swells differently. i didn't swell too too much. oh and i could speak fine. nobody noticed.

change the bar out when the swelling is done

only use surgical grade products or plastic. but soak it in mouthwash for a minute before you change it out to kill the germies.

the clamp hurt more than the piercing.

  5. Tongue webs can affect the way you talk for the first few days/weeks. You probably won't be able to extend or move your tongue the way you normally can until it starts to heal and the soreness goes away. There can also be a bit of swelling, but not as much as a tongue piercing. It's usually not an issue, and most people have any issues with speech cleared up in a few days.

As for pain, it's relative, everyone experiences it differently. I can't give you a good answer for that, other than to say it's bearable.

  6. I dunno how bad it hurts but one of my friends could only eat soup and pudding after getting it done for like a weak it makes your tongue swell but as far as talking right and stuff I dunno good luck
