Piercings and Tattoos!! (Easy) (Females Only)

Question

Do you have a tattoo or piercing? I would love to get some piercings and tattoos, but i need some help. What piercings and tattoos do you have and were are they located at? Whats the story behind them? Do you have any pictures of your tattoo or friends tattoo or piercing that I could see?

I am a professional photographer and agent .

I encounter many women who had tats when they were young who wish they could make them go away .It is very expensive and VERY painful to remove them . Do you think you will be wearing the same style clothing 15 years from now ? Then why burden yourself with a permanent tat ? Use temp tats .They can be removed if they don't go with an outfit or situation or your age or your mood . I know an actress who lost a Broadway role because she could not cover up a shoulder tat enough to keep it from looking out of place in a role . I have a friend who had a lot of trouble with the bride because her tats looked stupid and out of place in a sophisticated bridesmaid gown .

Piercings are another matter . One or two in each ear is fine and on a younger woman (under 25) a belly button piercing is OK . But when you get into facial and nipple piercing many men view this as a psychological equivalent of obesity .In other words the girl in not attempting to highlight a sexually healthy attractive body but rather to distract from it . A form of delf defication , of insecurity , especially over heterosexual roles .

Also , like it or not , tats and piercings ar seen by society as a sign of being lower class or lower intelligence ( as well as immature). Some like the lower back tat lable you a "tramp" . Nose piercings are viewed as g*y . Nipple piercings are viewed as sexually submissive . So think about how you will want to be viewed when you are 25 years old .

genesis ... I would love to know what your bf's respode to this is ! To me it seems like putting a "The painting has a mustache and the rainbow has a beard" -from Take it Back by Cream . If you have a great car like a Mercedes why put a bumper sticker on it that says "I brake for Liquor Stores" ? Are you really improving things ?

shyloh... You admit that at 21 you are thinking about losing some of the piercings . Do you know how expensive and painful and time consuming it is to get rid of the tats ? ! ! ! Are you sorry you got any of them to begin with ?

I have my lobes pierced 2x and getting my cartilage pierced maybe and belly.

They don't hurt, they just burn a bit but you have to think about later in life.. do you really want a wrinkled tattoo or if you have children one of your hip could stretch.

Apart from that piercings can heal up and you can take them out, tattoo's cost to remove (lots as-well)  

You can pierce anywere(liturally skin - surface piercings)

Your choice, just go to any piercing tattoo parlour

2 piercings in each ear and my navel pierced, as well.

For my 18th birthday, I got a tattoo on my left front hip of a big pink heart with swirly things, 3 little pink hearts, and 2 tiny purple stars. You can only see it when naked/in lingerie/in a bikini. It's enough to show off when I want, but I can cover it up with a tank and shorts and no one will ever know. It's classy, cute, s**y, and a medium size-something I will not regret. Just enough for me. =)

For tattoos i have a blue sun on my ankle and a flower on my foot. They are higihly addicting. They don't really have a story except i wanted them, got them, and now i want more but i cant because of my stupid work.

i have 8 tattoos - neck, wrist, wrist, arm, arm, hip, shoulder blade, lower back.

11 piercings - 4 in each lobe, one cartilage, tongue, belly button.

One i've mentioned before in memory of my grandmother,who was like my mum on my forearm.

A band one,they got me through a lot so i don't care if band ones are considered stupid,around my wrist.

Daisys on my right foot,my step sister who has special needs loves daisys.

A star with a question mark next to it,which represents my dad and the question mark because i don't know who he is.He left when i was a few days old and i would really like to know him,on my other wrist.

i have a butterfly on my wrist to stop me hurting myself and a star on my ankle cos...i just wanted it :)

i have so far just two tats in between the shoulder blades a set of wings with a banner with my grandparents initials ( meaning they are my angels) and around my ankle is a rosary i want about 4 more i don't have any pics of my tats sorry once you get ink in your blood you crave more

Before you get either, you need to think into the future.  Will you be happy with what you get when you're in your 20's or 30's?  How about 40's???  I'm 28 and I think piercings, other than ears are hideous.  No matter who it is or why.  Tat's can be cool, but from what I've heard are kind of addictive, and can therefore easily be over done.  I know 2 friends of mine that got their first tats just a month ago, one already has another, and the other is getting another one soon.  I want one bad, a Phoenix bird with a triskel in it's talons with my kids' names as the curls on my shoulder.  Anyway, that's my thoughts.

Piercings : 6 earlobe, 2 industrial, 2 higher helix and 2 Tagus, nose, tongue, navel...15 piercings...(including both ears) ...

Tattoos...12 inch wings on my higher back, east Asian script on my lower back 1 by 3 inches, small ones ones on both wrists, both ankles , left forearm  and a elvish script down my ribcage, and a 1 by 1 inch symbol on my neck .... tattoos...ribcage most painful

I'm like 20 now and im still a bit of that punk rock teenager...but when I'm older(like 4-5 years)...im going too lose a lot of the piercings, and if your limit the the of each studd,(like my nose ring only 1.3 mm in diameter)..it looks a lot minimized and less sorta freakish..and i don't get coloured tattoos just because of the wash out over the years

You should about if u really want it because reversing it is a lot harder.

um. personally I love them both.

I have 3 tattoos.

the first is a Jesus fish on my left wrist.

the second is "family is forever" on my other wrist.

and the third is the word "dance." on my hip bone.

all 3 have a MEANING.

Jesus. Family. Dance.(ballet)

for tattoos you need it to be significant in some way.

aaaand I have my ears and nose pierced.

I have a vertical clitoral hood piercing, I just got it 2 weeks and 2 days ago.  The pain was intense but it only lasted for 2 seconds, once the needle went through I didn't feel it. I got it done on a friday the next day I was out dancing salsa. It healed really fast and had no discomfort.  My bf comes back to the states in 2 weeks, it'll be a nice surprise.
