Piercings and the dentist...?

Question

Do they have to be removed for an exam or the other things they do? If so, can you wear a plastic retainer instead? Lebret and tongue.

my girlfriend has left madonna, and snakebites and doesnt unless they ask her to take them out,

also if you are having teeth taken out, etc. you will have to take them out same as if you have an xray on them, but your dntist ill tell you that

I have had my tongue pierced for 3 years, and I have worn my tongue ring to the dentist I didn't have to take it out but you can wear a retainer or you can just take it out for an hour or two. I've done all of them but the dentist  did ask me why I got it and told me a whole bunch of horror stories. So just be prepared to have a huge lecture session when you do go to the dentist.

some dentists insist they are removed where as some dont really mind, although if you have xrays then it needs to be taken out other wise the xray wont be a good picture but thats  only going to take a few Minutes. just ask your dentist which he would prefere, im sure they wont mind you keeping it in tho'
