http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758, managed to score just 17 and 2 runs before being bowled out cheaply by Ojha in both the innings.
Gooch, the leading run scorer in England Test history, said that the Natal-born batsman himself would be very unhappy with his performance in the first Test.
"Kevin will be very disappointed with both innings. He trains very hard and practises very hard, and has played well in recent times. But like other players, he has to trust his ability," said the England batting coach of KP’s twin failure in Ahmedabad.
"Obviously he wouldn't be happy with his return in this match or with the way he played, but he is strong enough and a big enough character to carry on working on his game. I'm sure he'll put it right," he added further.

"Alastair led from the front as captain. [It was] as good an innings as I've seen him play," said Gooch.
