Pigeon is hurt, I think???

Question

I have a baby pigeon and it was walking around for a while now...its about 6 weeks old. Today i noticed he could not hold the front part of his body up, and was basically moving around like a broom i guess. He can push with his back legs but his front chest drags. He can still drink and eat if i help him, but I don't know what is wrong with him?

Do not touch the flying rats -- they will continue to be cared for while they learn to fly.

Keep your pets indoors for a while.

He may have been hit by a car or damaged.  Check with these folks (whose link I put below) about care issues immediately. They're good people and a lot of them have helped care for injured ferals - no they're not the flying rats the guy above says.  They're actually fun birds that with some care become great pets too.
