Question:

Pigeon laying next to my garage may have flown into it.

I walked outside this morning and there was a pigeon laying helplessly on the ground and I thought it was dead. Then it started moving it's head. It couldn't really flap it's wings, but when it tried to walk it would just fall over. Should I put it out of it's misery or should I let nature take it's course, after all it is still alive. I am really sad about this situation and have no idea what to do. I am a total animal lover and i feel just terrible. Please help!

  1. you should help the peg ion and when it feels better then you could let him go

  2. If it's been more than an hour or two you and the bird is still having problems you should look for a wildlife rehabber in your area QUICKLY.  If he has a concussion he can be treated.  But without treatment he can very well die.

  3. call a vet and see what is best. it may have broken its wings and can't fly. since it is a big bird you won't have to worry about it losing its parents. call a vet or a wildlife rescue and see what you should do before you touch it

  4. Let it be. If you start feeding it and helping it, it will never leave, and that's unnatural.
