Pigs for fuel?

Question

Did anyone watch Mythbusters, where they made a rocket powered by sausage? They said it was very efficient, which I think worked off of the hydro carbons. I imagine their grease would also run diesel engines.

Finally, there's a good use for these vile creatures. Should we raise pigs to supply our fuel?

that's even more cruel that eating them. An immense waste of food to use pigs as fuel. So, no we shouldn't raise pigs to supply our fuel. Besides, just how many pigs will be needed to meet our energy needs? I'm pretty sure that will be A LOT.

A better way to utilize livestock for fuel is to capture the methane gas from the manure with an anaerobic composter.  This can be done with all animals,  not just pigs.
