Pilot going out when thermostat turned on

Question

I am having a problem with a cecilware gf10 countertop deep fryer. First I don't have to push the pilot button for the pilot to light just hold a lighter and the pilot lights in either the pilot or on position. Second when I light the pilot and turn the temp up the pilot goes right out and burners don't ignite. Any help would be appreciated.
