  1. You can become a Student Pilot at age 16, and apply for a Private Pilot Certificate at 17.

So it's a bit early to be worrying about starting lessons.  In the meantime, read everything you can about aviation and airplanes, do well in school, stay out of trouble, and stay in good physical shape.

All those things will help you when you reach the right age.

    Good luck!

  2. All pilots in the U.S must be 17 years old, (16 for student, glider or balloon pilots) and be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

I don't believe that excludes you from taking flight lessons.  It just excludes you from receiving any kind of certification (student pilot, private pilot etc.) until you are at least 16 (student) or 17 (private pilot)

  3. PARENTS THEN LOACAL AIRPORT

  4. You should calm down a bit and wait until you're over the age limit. There's no rush or need to get a flight lesson as you're still young (I still consider myself so, at 14) and may not be able to understand everything that the instructor tells you anyway~

  5. Check this out .... a 12 year old taking flying lessons -- in the Boston area.

  6. Well if you wanted to you could start now but you would half to wait until your 16 to get your student pilots license and then wait until your 17 to get your PPL (Private pilots license) so in the end that would just waste you money in the mean time you can buy a flight simulator to get you filmier with the instruments i few that i reccomend are "Microsoft flight simualtor X" and "X-Plane"

    Goodluck!
