Pineapple Jamie rated favourite for Stadium Bookmakers Maiden 480m Trophy
Pineapple Jamie has been rated favourite for the Stadium Bookmakers Maiden 480m Trophy at Nottingham in England on Monday, April 23, 2012. The winner of the Grade OR event will be awarded a cash prize of £150.
Following are the six entries confirmed for the 480 metres flat race: Pineapple Jamie, Dunnes Joe, Swift Example, Ballymac Guitre, Headleys Ego and Oneco Talent. The action is scheduled to begin at 20:07 GMT.
Looking at the experience of Pineapple Jamie compared to his rivals, the bookies have awarded him with the best odds. He is in good form at the moment and the punters are likely to place a lot of bets in his favour.
The L. Cook’s trainee has been performing well in different classes, but it will be a challenge for him to deliver a winning performance at this level. He has got good stamina, thus the longer distance races always see him do well.
In his most recent race, Pineapple Jamie finished runner up by just a margin of one length. He was rated favourite back then, but was unable to match the speed of the race winner. He will need an improved performance to win the race at Nottingham today.
The black dog is the son of Head Bound out of Emmerdale Mandy and was born in May 2009.
Another good choice for the bettors will be Dunnes Joe, who is carrying excellent momentum at the moment. He has raced in this class before and is all set to give a tough time to his opponents in the race. However, he is not familiar with the conditions
at Nottingham, which might work against him in the end.
The J. Hurst’s trainee finished runner up in his previous race, which was not a bad result at all, considering the fact that he was up against some quality runners. He might find things a touch easier compared to his last outing. The brindle dog is the son
of Headleys Bridge out of Thickasthieves and was born in December 2009.
Although the odds are in favour of Pineapple Jamie, he will have to earn his victory, as Dunnes Joe will give him a tough time in the race.
