Pink Hair Help!!!!!! 10 points for best answer!?

Ok, i have naturally medium brown hair and

im looking to dye 2 strands of my hair pink

do i really have to bleach my hair? if so please

gve me the directions on how to please?

also what products are good? SEMI-PERMANENT

ONLY PLEASE oh and how long does it last?

My friend always dies her hair pink in just the front.  She has brown hair as well and she ALWAYS has to bleach it.  And she uses the manic panic as well, but she said that you HAVE to leave it on longer to get that really pink look.  And after about three weeks it does fade.  She's letting it grow out right now because she wants to do somthing special with her hair.  It's been three or four weeks and the pink has faded, but not to an orange.  It's like a pale pink and now the blonde from bleaching is coming through.  But I think Manic Panic is your best bet.  But LEAVE IT ON FOR LONGER to get a good bright pink.

You can do it without bleaching, but it will not show up bright, and will fade out quicker.

Bleach is not semi-permanent.

Reds and pinks fade quickly, even permanent ones. I've had semi-perm blue and purple last longer than prem red!

If you are going to bleach out anything, do not try it yourself! Go to a cosmetology school if you want it inexpensive.

to tell you the truth , you would have to bleach it . there is no other way around it. obviously you wouldnt bleach the whole thing, just the two strands you want to dye pink . but if you want to upkeep with the pink you would have to keep dying it about every 3 days becuase it fades super fast to a gross orangey color. belive me , ive had pink hair before haha ! i mean its cute for the first few days then bam orange. but if you really want to i say go for it. use manic panic and a quick blue bleach packet. both from sallys. its super easy to do i promise =)
