Pink and Brown cupcake themed birthday party help!!??

My daughter is turning 3 on June 27, 2008 and my husband and I are throwing her a birthday party. It's a cupcake themed party, and colors are chocolate brown and pink. I need ideas on games, goody bags, favors, etc. I want to keep it all about the kids so little details for them like the favors will be great. Our budget is about $300 and I think we can do a lot with that much if we spend it wisely. It's going to be at my mother in laws house, and we were thinking about getting a couple of little waiting pools for the kids since it's going to be like over 100 (we live in Fresno, Ca) As for the menu I was going to order pre-cooked chicken, macaroni salad, fruit salad, beans, rice (my husband is Hispanic) rolls, or tortillas. We are also going to get a pinata. As for the dessert, I work at a bakery so I'm gong to order cupcakes with chocolate brown and pink deco, and then a separate little cake for the birthday girl. What do you think? Please I need help. I'm really stressing out here!

  1. Hey I live in Fresno Too :) I'm not really good at all this birthday party stuff but party city in riverpark might be able to help you :) brown and pink are cool colors too

    =]

  2. thats a good idea also get pink and brown baloons and streamers...a game you can play is like an unwrapping the present game where you have a bunch of  gifts wrapped up in layers and you pass it around and each kid unwraps a present...it should go from smaller to bigger gifts...for  goody bags get pink and brown cheap gift bags and put their pinata candy in it...also put in pink little tiaras, bubbles, and anything else your daughter will enjoy...you might also like a cotton cany machine or something that all kids will love.....they will also love the waiting pools....hope your daughter has funnnn

  3. Ignore above, she only turns 3 once and if I had the money I'd go all out for her - she won't remember anyway and won't be spoiled unless you raise her so as an older child.

I would check out a Michaels or Hobby Lobby for little kits, Party City is a good idea, and maybe a cute favor from Sprinkles or if Williams Sonoma has a kit for all the kids to make cookies together - etc.

  4. BIRTHDAY PARTIES ARE GREAT FUN BUT CAN BE VERY STRESSFUL FOR THE MOTHER!!  A GAME IDEA COULD BE YOU  COULD MAKE A HUGE CUPCAKE OUT OF POSTERBOARD USE MARKERS TO DECORATE AND MAKE CANDLES AND PLAY PUT THE CANDLE IN THE CUPCAKE(PIN THE TAIL TO THE DONKEY) MUSICAL CHAIRS TO KID THEMED MUSIC ALSO ON A DAY SO HOT TRY GETTING PINK AND BROWN BALLONS AND USING THEM FOR WATER BALLON TOSS (COULD BE EXTRA FUN IN THE SUN) GET A PLAIN COLORED PARTY BAG LIKE PINK (IT WILL SAVE A LITTLE ON MONEY ALSO) FILL WITH FUN OUTSIDE THINGS LIKE CHALK BUBBLES CUPCAKE STICKERS SUNGLASSES NO CANDY WILL BE NEEDED IF YOUR DOING A PINATA. GOOD LUCK AND REMEMBER TO HAVE FUN THATS WHATS MOST IMPORTANT TO HER ANYWAY!!

  5. that should be all she need for her b-day. She's only turning 3. come on. Or are you just a mother who wants your child to be spoiled. If so then but her whatever she wants. Don't ask her what colors she wants just do what you got to do. The only question you should ask her is what she for her b-day.
