heard bout it a little but dont understand how tripping on acid with it is supposed to change ur life.

I've never heard of it.  I have heard of Dark Side of the Moon, the cover of which is white light being split into the colors of the rainbow by a prism.

I have listened to DSotM while on LSD and it didn't change my life.  I thought Meddle and Animals were far more interesting.

Are you talking about when you sync the album with the Wizard of Oz?

It's actually kind of dumb.

Basically, you sync up "Dark Side of the Moon" with "The Wizard of Oz" and supposedly the lyrics to the songs match up with stuff going on in the movie.

For instance, during "Breathe" when "Balanced on the biggest wave" is sung, Dorothy is walking along a fence like a balance beam. During "Us and Them" when "Which is which" is sung, the wicked witch shows up.

Usually when people talk about their trips on acid, the subject of the syncronicity of the universe comes up, so they probably use this coincidence as an example.

I have done it, and not on any sort of drugs or mind altering substance.  I just had a day off, and had heard alot about it and wanted to try.  I looked up online how to do it, something like, start the album at the second lions roar during the MGM logo part at the begining.  I was blown away by a couple things.  The song Time (my favorite off the album), begins with all it's alarms going off the instant the bad lady (wicked witch of the west, but in Kansas) appears on the screen.  It really startled me, for a second I didn't know if the sound was the album or the movie.  Another thing I remember is when they put their ears' to Tinmans chest to listen for a heart, there is a heartbeat on the album.  I did this 5-7 years ago, and don't remember everything.  Whether it was intentional or not, I don't know.  They deny it, but it would contain a lot of coincidences back to back otherwise.  Also, how did people find out about it unless they did it on purpose and it was somehow leaked?  People don't just sit around watching movies and listening to albums at the same time hoping they will sync up.

Didn't do the 'cid while I watched it.

Still was very trippy and even creepy in places.

The creepy part is how well the audio meshes with the movie.
