I know this has been asked a few times, but I just made curry with pork which was pretty pink and soft when I finished- it was a prime cut pork and was cooked in a frying pan for 5 minutes, then boiled for at least 20 minutes along with other ingredients. Is it safe to eat? Thanks.

  5. Modern pork has been bred and the food they eat has been governed by state and local levels to where it is safe to eat with some pink in it but the cut of meat maybe a bit chewy. Now this is only the tougher cuts of meat and they should be cooked low and slow. Pork chops and the loin are great pink and are fantastic.....

  6. The way you have described your cooking method it will be overcooked.

3-4 minutes per side in the frypan would have been long enough.

Most pork nowadays is safe to be cooked to medium.
