  1. This is a good fight neither fighter is that good sort of like what we have in the heavy weight division right now. I will pick Tony Tucker just because he is a better boxer than Thomas

  2. This one is quite simple.  Thomas is the stronger of the two.  He has a decent jab and might out-weigh Tucker by a few pounds.  He's 6'3''.  Tucker is 2 inches taller and also has a good jab.  He moves a bit more than Thomas does.

Thomas is the more skilled boxer but does not use his skills to their best potential.  He doesn't train often and has suspect stamina.  Tucker is the better 15 round fighter.  (That's the only way I chose to rate heavyweights.  These babies struggle to go 12 today).

Some might look at each's fight with Mike Tyson as a way to judge them but they are two very different fighters and Tyson fought them in different ways.  Thomas isn't very quick.  That's probably his greatest weakness against a fighter like Tucker.  Tony is no speed demon either.  However, his slight edge would aid him in the later part of the fight.  Neither throws enough punches to KO the other so that's not likely to happen.

I see this as a rather dull fight with Thomas tiring towards the middle rounds.  He rarely throws combinations and Tucker doesn't hit hard enough to hurt him seriously.  Many point to the first round (vs Tyson) where Tucker supposedly "Rocked" Tyson.   Throw that out because Tyson was Much more off balance than hurt.  His balance was never good to begin with.    A welterweight might have put him off balance if he was tall enough.  Tyson ran into a perfect uppercut because his feet were together and he rushed in.

Tucker would slap Thomas to death in the later rounds.  Pinklon COULD win if he fought Tony the way he SHOULD.  He should crowd Tony and use his superior inside strength to make a FIGHT of it.   The problem with that is that that's not the way Pinklon fights.  He would box Tony.  Tucker would be the busier fighter in the later rounds as Thomas' stamina fails him.  Neither fighter would be seriously hurt.  Tucker would simply be busier.

    Tucker by clear decision.
