Pinnacle Studio Plus Version 11 HELP!!!!!?

I would like to know if this software will let me rip some of the scenes from DVDs. Does anyone know?

  1. Not directly, but there are programs out there that will strip the CSS copy protection which allows you to copy the DVD to your hard drive. From there you can use Pinnacle 11 to grab scenes.

    "Any DVD" will do this work for you. Keep in mind, if you are grabbing scenes from a copyrighted film, there may be legal repercussions.


  2. I have done this with Studio v 10.  You need A/V capture hardware to do it.  You play the DVD and connect the composite or S-video plus the right & left audio outputs of the DVD player to the A./V capture hardware and start Studio recording.  It will not be quite as good quality as the DVD, but not bad.  

    Of course there are legal issues - you should own the DVD and not give anyone a copy of your product containing the ripped material.
