Pioneer AVIC-N3 won't turn on??

Just bought a used 07 Durango with only 6,000 miles on it. For some reason, the stock radio was taken out "or maybe stolen" and replaced with this pioneer AVIC-N3. To get to the point, sometimes when you turn on the car, the radio refuses to turn on. I found out if you turn the car off then back on again it will work. Also, even with the car in park and emergency brake on, it won't let me set a destination or adjust the settings. This used to work before but now it isnt. its a $2000 stereo i found out and its acting like an $80 piece of c**p. what gives????

  1. ok for not turning it sounds like a loose wire or something recheck all the wires

and as for the e- brake thing guess the wire is not connected properly. get a 2 way toogle switch from radioshack its like $3 and get the wire that is connected to the e-brake (usually its a light green wire its the longest wire in the harness )solder that to one side of the switch and solder some other piece of wire to the other terminal on the switch and ground it and put the switch any where you want, now you don't need to have the ebrake on to watch videos or do what ever all you gotta do is flip the switch and good to go.

if not get a bypass module off ebay for like $50 and it will be much easier to work with
