Pioneer AVIC N4 indash stereo/gps Nav system

I had the pioneer system professionally installed with various accessories. All systems work fine with one exception, the pioneer CDi200 Ipod adapter cable. The unit recognizes the Ipod with appropiate screen, but screen touching the playlist, artist, etc. only gives an AO error message. Please advise.
