i have 2 pioneer ts-based w307d4's and i want to pair them with a pioneer amp. i'm looking at the gm-7300m mono powered amp. it is a 800 watt output mono channel amp at 2-8 ohms. This one vs. the pioneer gm-5300t amp. it is a 2 channel 760 watt max power stereo amp. which one is the better one? and for what reason?

i was thinking the gm-7300m amp but i'm not sure on how to run the wiring from a mono amp to 2 dual voice coil subs.

  1. First of all hun, max watts mean nothing in reality, look at RMS watts always (RMS is the continous amounts of watts, max is the most the amp can handle/produce during a dramatical musical burst), 7300m , is there 250 watts RMS and other one is 125 watts x 2 channels RMS. 7300M is made for 1 subwoofer and the other one is for 2 subwoofers. i hope that helped.

  2. i havent looked up your equipment but your pioneers sound like theyre 4ohmdvc i think you should go with the 2 channel which is most likely 4ohms mono stable run your subs series/parallel for 4ohms operation

find a 2ch best to match rms ratings

and a mono amplifier may run more then one sub
