Piotr Gadomski ousts Nicolas Rosenzweig in the initial qualifying round – Bratislava Open 2012 CH
Right-hander Pole, Piotr Gadomski, outmuscled the French contender, Nicolas Rosenzweig, in the initial qualifying round of the Bratislava Challenger 2012 held at the indoor hard courts of Decoturf, Slovakia. He nudged up and summed
up a straight setter win 6-2, 6-3 on the eve of Saturday.
Right-hander French challenger was unable to uphold his initial serve and this bestowed the opportunity onto his rival to clinch the lead. Gadomski cashed in the chance and beautifully carved out his lead by clinching the initial
two games. Fortunately, he managed to draw the first blood and encountered his rival with a strong resolve to dominate. However, Rosenzweig battled hard to stay on course and with time, he seemed powerless in front of his challenger. The Pole contender unleashed
his fury and winded up all the remaining games without facing any real ordeal. Ultimately, he gleefully pulled out of the opener with a spectacular lead of 6-2.
The 21-year-old Pole secured 64 percent initial serve with 14 of 18 first and five of 10 second delivery points. He was able to secure the lead because he snatched two of six serve breaks and his competitor was not able to capitalize
even one of the three. Rosenzweig pocketed away 10 of 20 first and six of 12 second serve points.
The 26-year-old, Rosenzweig, commenced a sloppy start of the proceeding set and his rival pocketed away the first two games to stamp a 2-love lead. Gadomski preserved his focus and consistently thundered his opponent with powerful
serves. He swiftly journeyed without encountering any breakpoint. After a tough battle he captured his opponent’s serve in the last game and concluded the set with a 6-3 triumph.
The Polish junior smashed four aces and did not even commit a single double fault. He had a reasonable initial serve accuracy of 68 percent. He snatched away 13 of 15 first and four of seven second delivery points. The French professional
had an average first serve precision of 57 percent and he converted 11 of 17 first and five of 13 second serve points.
