So far Barcelona have played three matches in this season’s La Liga. However, in all three matches, Cesc Fabregas has been substituted out of the game.
It is rumoured that Tito Vilanova is not entirely convinced that the 25-year-old is good enough to play for the starting eleven.
Costing 34 million Euros to bring him over from Arsenal to Barcelona, Fabregas was playing phenomenally in accordance to Pep Guardiola’s 3-4-3, which gave him a free role in the midfield.
However, when Guardiola decided to move back to the 4-3-3, Fabregas was moved to playing the left striking position, which proved to be quite a tedious task for the young player, and he struggled to keep his position.
Fabregas has made it known to the public that he has suffered a hit to his confidence as a result of his weak performance last season, and that he has not been able to recover with Tito Vilanova bringing about a few changes either.
He took it a bit hard when he was substituted in his last match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863, and even remarked that “there is no such thing as a great substitute.”
However, Gerard Pique is confident that Fabregas will make it out of this and states that people should not come to conclusions too quickly.
“Every player goes through highs and lows throughout their career. We have played only three league games, yet people are already speculating that he will leave in the winter,” said Pique.
Pique expressed his confidence in his teammate and said that he will be able to make it out of this rut.
“I am confident that he will eventually have a spectacular season,” Pique comments.
Pique also stated that the only part of Fabregas’ career that is making playing at Barcelona difficult for him is the fact that he cost so much.
“One of his handicaps is that Barca paid a lot of money for him. That brings a lot of pressure with it. ”
Pique has expressed his confidence in the Spaniard and states that he will undoubtedly make it back into the first-team.
