So what is this going to mean to all the people who download things from P2P?

Do you think there will be ways to get around this if you are on one of the 6 main ISPs?

Here is the full story..

  1. I suppose they have to start now.  There are many musicians from England losing money due to p****y.

  2. Rules are made to be broken

  3. Just move to one of the other isp's, if they think they can have total control of all copyrighted material on the net then there just plan nuts............theres always ways round stuff it wont be to long for a new system to spring up and be the new bit torrent for example.

  4. Shame they couldn't be this hard on knife crime.

  5. My thoughts are that------i'm not going to wory about it ONE BIT!!

And neither should anyone else so that we can show them that we simply dont care!

  6. The music industry...those poverty stricken folks in the big shiny buildings...having tried suing 14 year old girls for millions of dollars and got some bad publicity for doing so........have now decided to get the ISP's to do their dirty work for them.

This will mean letters.  Lots of them.  Meanly written no doubt.

After a sufficient time has passed where the 14 year old girl goes on blithely downloading "Fizzang' songs or whoever has gladdened her heart the most...they say they will restrict or cut off the broadband connection.

It will be just like the old days on winmx.  Downloading on dial-up was time consuming, but it felt pioneering at the time!

I think this is designed to put people off and not much more.

  7. Well if i was with one of those service providers firstly i would change to a different one. When they all start losing their customers they will have to change.

  8. Argh, avast, 'tis a hanging shame lad.

  9. Yhe big 6 isp's will become the small 6 isp's before the year is out

  10. Once everybody starts switching ISP providers they will soon kick the music and film industry in to touch and think about their own profits...it won't take long and if that does not happen there is always the old way of buying copied Cd's and DVDs, the music and film industry are not going to win this one and it serves them right they were ripping us all off for years anyway with their over inflated prices
