he is my favorite player i was very sad when the rays got rid of him. Hes my favorite because he plays all four infield positions and can play the outfield in an emergency. Also he hits around .280 consistently every year. What do you think of him?

  1. Very good versatile player. He has exceeded all expectations the Pirates had for him this year. As you say, he plays all 4 infield positions and is ready to come off the bench at all times. He has also been a great fill in for Jack Wilson and Freddy Sanchez when they have been injured. Hopefully the Bucs will resign him for next season. They could use a good bench guy!

  2. Yeah, he is a good backup, can play all over the infield, just a solid player. I have always liked him since he joined the Pirates. The best way to contact him, is to either go to a game, or send a letter to him. Here is the address:

    Chris Gomez c/o Pittsburgh Pirates

    P.O. Box 7000

    Pittsburgh, PA 15212

If you want a card signed by him, you must send the card, a letter, and a SASE. YOU MUST SEND A SASE IF YOU WANT ANYTHING BACK! I don't think he will sign autographs TTM, but it's worth a shot!

  3. He's not very good at all, and your making him out to be something that he isn't.

He's a far below average player.

  4. I remember him as a starting shortstop for the Tigers at the beginning of his career and his time as a utility guy for the Orioles ( my two favorite teams).  Solid and dependable, not a superstar.  Did well when filling in for injured Orioles a few years ago.  The only reason the Orioles let him go was to make the roster younger.

  5. He's a good solid player.  I'll tell him you said "Hi" when I see him at PNC this weekend.

  6. who???
