  1. I'm just going to give it my best shot, because I don't really understand what you mean. It is a pity that after a few days no one else has answered, so, it might just as well be me. I hope the lines will give you some ideas about the sharp pawn thrusts.

    1.e4 d6 2.f4 Nf6 3.Nc3 g6

(This is the grand prix setup and black has answered with a Pirc. I don't see why white shouldn't play d4 now, but if you do, please say so.)

    4.d4 Bg7

(The Austrian attack. White threatens an early e5, and that may be of interest to you.)

    5. e5 Nd7 6. Nf3 c5 (They say this is sharpest and best for black. Castling may seem safer, but that variation is also very messy.) 7. Ng5 cxd4 8. e6 Qa5

    ([8... dxc3 9. exf7+ Kf8 10. Ne6+)

    9. exf7+ Kf8 10.Ne6+ Kxf7 11. Nxd4 Nc5 12. Bc4+ Be6 13. Nxe6 Bxc3+ 14. Kf2 Nxe6 15. bxc3 Qc5+ 16. Qd4

    Rc8 17. Bb3 Nd7 18. Re1 Nf8 19. g4

(This is just an example. Black isn't safe yet, but white has an ugly c-pawn.)

    [ White can delay the e5 move and I've put that here: 5. Nf3 O-O 6. Be3 b6

    (This is a bit slower, but the thrust is complicated still.) 7.e5 Ng4 8. Bg1 c5 9. h3 Nh6 10. d5 Bb7 11. Qd2 Nf5 12. Bh2 dxe5 13. fxe5 e6 14. O-O-O exd5 15. Nxd5 Nc6 16. c3 Ncd4 17. Nf6+

    [17. cxd4 Qxd5 18. Kb1 Rad8]

    17... Bxf6 18. cxd4 Bg7 19. d5 c4 20. Be2 Rc8 21. Kb1 Bh6 22. Bf4 Bxf4 23. Qxf4 Bxd5 24. h4 c3 25. bxc3 Rxc3 26. h5 Ne3 27. Ng5 Qc7 28. Nxh7 Rb3+ {And Anand won the game}]

    Alright, here's the last subvariation, I hope it's still lear. I repeat the beginning. 1.e4 d6 2.f4 Nf6 3.Nc3 g6 4.d4 Bg7

    5. Nf3 O-O 6. Bd3 Na6 7. O-O (This is the safe or positional method for white, if you will. If white won't do anything, black will. I think it's a boring way to play the Austrian attack, because now what is the point of f4 :)) 7... c5 8. d5

(And we just enter into a Benoni type position, except all the pawns are still there. Here you just swap off the light squared bishop for Nf3, like you would in a typical cramped Benoni and throw in the queenside pawns. Black should have enough play then.

I hope this is what you wanted to know. If not, please be more specific. I don't think black has many problems if white just leaves the e and f pawn there, without the support of the d-pawn. If white doesn't ever play d4 the game will be more like a closed Sicilian anyway. Black throws in c5 or c6 and d5, and white must make a decision in the centre.
