Pirlo marks 2005 Champions League final against Liverpool as the darkest moment of his Milan career

Talking to the club’s official website, Pirlo said, “I have two wonderful memories: the first time I put on the Milan shirt and the first time we won the Champions League [against Juventus in 2003]. The worst moment was losing in Istanbul. I still don’t
understand how we let that game out of our hands.”
The Italian International is a legendary figure for Milan and he was presented with a medal for making 400 Serie A appearances for the club. Pirlo admitted that he feels over the moon for making so many appearances for the Italian Champions and he never
thought of making such a huge impact with one of the top clubs in the world.
