Pirtek Parramatta Eels meet their fans in the Eels Christmas Open Training Session 2011
Pirtek Parramatta Eels fans pour in big numbers to show support to their club at the 2011 Eels Christmas Open Training Session, on December 20.
According to the sources, it has been reported that almost more than 600 fans attended the training session in Field 2 of the Parramatta Stadium. The turnover at the session was a lot more than it was expected, which concluded with the entire squad posing
for picture and signing autographs for their fans.
The training session had a feel of a festival to it with jumping castle, face-painting and sausage sizzle arranged for. It appeared that the arrangements of this sort also drew in more fans to make the most of the opportunity laid down by the Eels.
Also, there were special attraction offers incorporated to attract more fans to the event. This included a promotional offer on the purchase of the Eels’ brand new history book, “March of the Blue and Golds.”
According to it, those who made the purchase of the mentioned book cashed in the opportunity to get exclusive autographs and pictures with Eels players including Jarryd Hayne, Nathan Hindmarsh, Tim Mannah and Luke Burt. This brand new written piece is Neil
Cadigan’s, which is a perfect Christmas gift.
With the more than expected attendees on the event not only fans were feeling great about themselves but the players also felt great. While talking about it, the Club captain Nathan Hindmarsh also agreed that with fans’ presence the event definitely became
more special for them all.
Hindmarsh said, “The guys love days like these where they can train with a bit of atmosphere and connect with the fans. It looked like everyone had a great time and that's what it's all about.”
The Eels Fan Day scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 18, 2012, is the next lined up event for fans to get to know their players. In addition, it was reaffirmed on the event that open training sessions throughout 2012 will be only for Eels Members
only.
This open training session was a Christmas special, which was open to the entire public without any Eel membership clause. It is a nice way of getting to know one’s team.
