  1. well Pit Bulls need training , yes but not any more then any other breed...what they do need more of is socialization (to mostly dogs.) Pit Bulls were never bred to be human aggressive, they were killed if they should any human aggression at all. they were bred for fighting so they tend to be a little more dog aggressive then other breeds, but if you socialize it right thats no problem. ive had dogs come from fighting parents and got along great with other dogs, it mainly depends on you and how much time and effort you take in training a dog. as for the "rednose" Pit Bulls turning on their owners, thats a Myth, a dogs coat color, nose color has nothing to do with their temperament.

  2. Ok, lets say your parents were agressive, but you were taken away a few weeks after birth, would you necessarily be aggressive?  of course not!  Pit Bulls are excellent dogs, but with any dog you need to be prepared!  I'd read up on training.

  3. If you are concerned that you may end up with an aggressive pit, and if you question your ability to train a strong willed dog like this --- then you may want to look to getting another breed of dog.

A dog that is bred for a purpose (be it a Pit or a Greyhound) will have certain traits that are bred into it.   That said, The mothers disposition is actually more important than the fathers, as she is the one who teaches the puppies proper social behavior and how to act around other people and dogs.

Dogs do pick up on our emotions, so if you are not comfortable around a breed of dogs - then you should look into another breed that you are more comfortable around..    It makes no difference how popular or cool a dog is.   Taking into account a dogs individual personality, how they turn out will depend on your ability to train the dog and bring out the best in it.

This dog will be your best friend for the next 12-15 years.   So choose carefully.

  4. well first offi can say pitbulls are real great dogs  for the guy who said red noses are most likely to turn on u  lmao lmao u got to be kidding  some people may consider there 90-100 pound dog is a pit that is nonsense  and quite a dumb remark if i may say  u got to know where to go  to be honest all the game bred dogs ive ever owned  have never been human aggressive im sure u can steal my dogs  because they lack human aggression  now they are very aniamal aggressive  which is in most of there nautre u got to understand all the outs and in's of owning a pitbull make sure u avoid the bloodlines such as razors edge these dogs are not  even close to being  a real apbt  the founder even admitted breeding sevral dogs together and with a pitbull to make his bloodline razors edge. and to be honest its a difference between apbt and american staddfordsire opps i spelled that wrong but there is a difference   one is game the other arent apbts true ones are game .  any average pitbull  u cant look at it and say its game . its so much u need to learn befor u decide to aquire one  but here are some places u can look for some good ones  at good prices  http://www.masterblenkennels.com

  5. Pit Bulls need a lot of training.  I mean ALOT of training or you could easily end up with a dangerous dog.   Having non aggressive parents doesn't mean the puppies won't turn out to be aggressive.  Having aggressive parents does make it more likely that the puppies will have aggression issues.   There are also alot of legal issues to consider when getting a pit bull.  Many apartments and housing complexes will absolutely not allow pitbulls.   Some cities do not allow you to have pit bulls.   Many housing areas will not allow pitbulls in their neighborhoods.

If you are going to get one you need to do a lot of research about the laws in your area, the breed itself, and the training required for them and you need to be willing to put the time and effort and money into training the dog because if you get one and don't train it properly and it hurts someone it's on you.

  6. pitbulls are great dogs, some tho can be very aggressive but it is mostly in the way you raise them and train them, ive had blue nosed pits my whole life and they are great, i have heard that red noses are more likely to turn on you then the blue noses and also males are more aggressive because of there testosterone.

  7. I always believe it's up to the owner how the dog turns out.

  8. pits are great dogs. they have special requirements that you need to make sure you can handle and follow.  they need lots of exercise and socialization.  training is key and it's just not the first year.  their training needs to continue throughout the dogs life.  they are genius' so you have to keep them mentally challenged or they get bored and start getting into things.  i recommend going to a book store and reading the first few pages of pit bulls for dummies.  it explains their personalities to a tee and will let you know what to expect.  just don't jump into a pit until you're confident you can handle it's unique needs. although it is just a dog, they are not like every dog out there.

  9. pits are great

but if ur worried i recomend getting a staffi. they are pretty much pitbulls but smaller

they dont need alot of training

i would recomenned either way goiing 2 a breeder rthat isnt a back yeard breeder, this enables u 2 be sure that the wont be agressive

most of the time if u train the dog right it turns out right

but somtimes they can inheret a bad gene from there parents
