  1. you can't pit bulls are not allowed in this country! you should not even have one. its totally irresponsible to keep 1.

  2. I wish I could answer your question...But want to thank the prior answerers for not answering either only giving their opinions on how bad pits are...what dopes!!!!

  3. pitbulls have been banned in the UK and you can only own one if you have special license

  4. You don't "get" a pedigree and decide to show your dog - you need the papers from the breeder showing that sire and dam are pedigree before you can register a dog.

Pits aren't even a breed - the correct name is Staffordshire Bull Terrier - and I don't think they are even legal in the U.K.

  5. Not many treat pitbulls due to aggression

  6. YOU CANT  as they are not legal in the uk and hopefully will never be

  7. Look Online, But the Pitbull would have to be tested for aggression also when you take the pitbull for a walk you will have to have a short lead, muzzle and more..

Also not many Vets will treat the pitbull

  8. Pit Bull Terriers are not recognised either by the UK KC or the AKC. They are not legal in the UK so you can't possibly be going to show him.

Staffordshire Bull Terriers are recognised by both the KC & the AKC.

The American Staffordshire Bull Terrier is recognised by the AKC but they are not registered by the KC.

  9. you'll need to contact the breader, but be warned the amount of staff crosses that are sold as pure breads with "papers to follow" is huge. The guy I bought Molly The Pit from tried to pass her as a pure staff.... Dope! And my vet and all the nurses there love Molly because she is a gentle and fun loving dog not a savage beast.

  10. In order to regist a puppy it needs to be from registered parents.  If this is the case the breeder that you got your pup from will have the papers and can help you get them transferred into your name.

However in the USA American Pitbull Terriers are only registered by the UKC.  The UKC is not an "offical kennel club" so UKC pedigrees are not accepted by the other kennel clubs, so if your dog's parents have UKC papers you will not be albe to register him anyplace other than the UKC.  The AKC does register the American Staffordshire Terrier and those could be registered in the UK.  While to those unfamilar with the two breeds they may confuse them but they are different breeds.

  11. You can't. The dogs are illegal in the UK.
