  1. Wouldn't a perfect season be considered this?

Pitched every game in the season

Every game was a perfect game

Tell me if I'm wrong, but that's a little more perfect than just winning every game.

  2. i dont think thats ever happened, but bob gibson had an inhuman year where he had a 1.12 era, they had to lower the mound after that because he was so dominating.  He was 22-9.  In my own opinion, the most intimidating pitcher to ever play, and his best year had 9 losses.  about 1 run per 9 innings! thats insane!

  3. Not yet.

Elroy Face came close. Won 18, lost 1 in 1959.

Still the Major League record for winning Pct. of .947

  4. I remember Ron Guidry going 25-3. Not perfect, but still freakin' impressive!!

  5. Dennis Lamp went 11-0 in 1985, I think it was. That's one of the highest win counts without a loss.

    Hey, let's go check...

    ----------

Tom Zachary went 12-0 for the 1929 Yankees.

Lamp, 11-0 for the 1985 Blue Jays, as noted.

Howie Krist, 10-0 for the 1941 Cardinals.

Aaron Small, 10-0 for the 2005 Yankees.

Those are the four best, the only ones to reach double digits without an L.

  6. I don't think so. Just video games. :)
