Pittsburg penguins question?

I was watching TSN and they say this is pittsburg first time since 1992 that they made the stanley cup finals. I thought they made it back in 2001 when they played against colorado and lost. Can someone correct me or am I right?

(That's when they had hedberg in net against roy)

  1. NO they didn't New Jersey Played Colorado in 2001 They're Right this is Pittsburgh First Stanley Cup Finals Appearance since 1992 and they won It, I would Like you look at the teams History.

  9. The Penguins last made it the Stanley Cup Finals in 1992, which is 16 years ago.  In 2001 Actually it was the devils vs colorado.  The devils lost the last two games to colorado and Bourque finally got to hold the stanley cup.

  12. No, the closest the PittsburgH Penguins have come to making the Stanley Cup Finals since then was that season but they lost the New Jersey in 5 games. So it would be New Jersey with Martin Brodeur in net. They also made the Eastern Conference Finals in 1996 when they lost to the Florida Panthers in 7 games.
