Pittsburgh Penguins Sidney Crosby feeling great after workouts, no concussion symptoms -NHL Update
It seems like better times are finally coming for hockey sensation and Pittsburgh Penguins captain, Sidney Crosby, who is reportedly feeling great and concussion symptom-free after offseason workouts.
He has been spending most of his offseason time working out in Los Angeles and visiting medical staff regularly and is now back in Pittsburgh, all healthy and well.
"It's been really good," Crosby told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "Nothing. I've been feeling 100 percent. It feels good to not have to think about that, and to work as hard as you want. It's been really good."
The former first overall draft pick of the 2005 National Hockey League (NHL) Entry Draft has been termed to be the best hockey player on the ice right now, but during the past couple of seasons, it has been the toughest time of his life.
Facing a severe concussion during the 2010-2011 NHL regular season following two back-to-back and near fatal hits to the head while playing, Crosby had been termed by many to be one of those unfortunate cases that never manage to show their full potential
in the league and are forced to exit early.
In terms of a potential lockout, the threats are serious and a few weeks back, the Pittsburgh Penguins captain was reported to be contemplating playing for the foreign leagues in order to keep himself going and not taking unwanted time off due to any sort
of deadlock. Crosby himself did not mention anything, but the agent that represents the All-Star player had termed himself to be in negotiations with a number of foreign leagues around Europe.
Reportedly, some insiders have heard that Crosby has confirmed his status of playing in Europe if a lockout comes into play due to the fact that he has not been as active these past couple of seasons as much as he wanted to.
Updates and developments on Sidney Crosby can be expected in the upcoming days as the lockout becomes more of a reality than it should be and the next scheduled hockey season just might not come into play as both sides seem to be deadlocked limitlessly and
cannot agree on any single aspect.
