Pittsburgh Penguins Sidney Crosby update expected by Dan Bylsma, may miss season start –NHL Update
According to previous reports and interviews by one of the National Hockey League’s (NHL) most talented players, Sidney Crosby, was expected to be fully ready to start the new season in October with Pittsburgh Penguins, but now, it could be a different situation
altogether.
Past speculations were that Crosby would also participate in the training camp. Which ultimately suggests his return for the regular season, but different analysts, through different sources are now expecting Penguins head coach, Dan Bylsma, to address the
situation within the upcoming days about his condition, which could be different than from what fans were normally expecting.
At the moment, the report is still unconfirmed, but could be found true in upcoming 24-48 hours as Pittsburgh management prepares to update their fans on not only team status, but also on the health of All-Star player, Sidney Crosby, to which the whole hockey
world is looking very closely.
It is not hard to see why a player like Crosby could have gained so much popularity and importance, not only for his original draft team, but also throughout the NHL.
The top-notch shooter was drafted as the first overall pick by Pittsburgh during round-one of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, and has remained with the franchise ever since. Having scored an amazing 102 points (39 goals, 63 assists) in his first season right off
the bat, Crosby continued his impressive, record setting performance from there on.
When learning about his injury, Crosby was hopeful to make a comeback again in that season, but never really managed to.
"Geez, I hope so", Crosby said after sustaining a concussion due to double shots to the head in January. "You know what? [Missing the rest of the season] could happen. But am I sitting here packing it in? No. I hope I'm back and, geez, I hope I play this
year. But that's the thing with these things -- you don't know. There's no time frame. I'm expecting to play this year".
The anticipation keeps on building, as fans around the world wait on Bylsma to hear something hopefully good about their favourite player.
