Pittsburgh Penguins Superstar Sidney Crosby Strongly considering Move Overseas -NHL Update
After a number of days of continuous negotiations, players and fans were hopeful of getting back to some hockey, but following the shocking and almost immediate collapse, even some of the big names in the National Hockey League (NHL) have lost hope and contemplating
leaving for good.
Pittsburgh Penguins’ superstar captain, Sidney Crosby, was one of leading names on the list of participants in Tuesday’s meeting between players and team owners and having his team owner by his side, stakeholders had hopes that he may be one of the most
heard voices during the mediation process.
Even Crosby could not work a deal out and talks collapsed just days later, forcing him now to seriously ponder on his options to play abroad with barely any hopes of a season starting anytime soon, but now things are looking as if the season could be cancelled
altogether.
"I just want to play hockey," Crosby told reporters after an informal workout with some of his teammates on Friday morning. "As far as whatever option is best there, I'll start thinking of it a lot more because this stuff is getting ridiculous."
The last couple of months have been hectic for Crosby as he has managed to fully recover from the serious concussions he was facing and neck problems, but when the time came for him to perform once again, work stoppage killed off all his dreams.
"I think we knew what the issues were and we moved on those," Crosby said. "I think if it's the case there like Gary said in his press conference, where they're going to draw a line in the sand, just say that, don't waste guys' times there."
He missed a number of games during the past two seasons and really needs to make up for that. Crosby, who is a 25-year-old native of Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia, Canada, definitely is one of the best in the game, which can be seen by his 609 points (223 goals,
386 assists) in just 434 games played.
Updates on Sidney Crosby should be expected in the next couple of days as he prepares to make the move.
