Pittsburgh Penguins Superstar Sidney Crosby still Optimistic -NHL Update
The Pittsburgh Penguins captain and superstar player, Sidney Crosby, has without a doubt been one of the most active players in the entire process ever since the National Hockey League (NHL) was hit with a lockout after the previous collective bargaining
agreement ended on September 15, of this year.
While many other players have left North America disheartened, and have gone on to play with foreign leagues in countries like Russia, Germany, Switzerland and Sweden, the captain of one of the league’s best teams, continues to wait it out and recently showed
his optimism about the regular season being saved.
"It's still early," Crosby said, according to ESPN.com. "There's still time for decisions to be made and time to make sure nobody does something they're going to regret."
"I think we're willing to make a deal," Crosby continued. "I don't think there's a deal to be made right now. There's their deal and then there's our deal and they want their deal."
"When I went through all that stuff, a lot of things you can't control, you just have to be patient," he added. "It's kind of a similar scenario here. You just have to be positive and hope for the best."
There is no way that no player is not looking forward to the regular season and continue to hope that whatever remains of it, after the league officially cancelled the entire postseason and opening two weeks of the regular season, that they will be able
to get back into the action and play like normal once again.
Obviously, things are never as easy as they sound, but having heart is something that Sidney Crosby proved recently, while others like one of his most integral colleagues on the Penguins team, Evgeni Malkin, did not wait for a single moment and was one of
the first to sign with a team in the Russian, Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).
Ultimately, if things do not work out and players like Sidney Crosby lose out on all hope, than there will be no other choice but to surrender and move out to continue playing and getting paid while staying sharp in the game.
