Pittsburgh Pirates edge past the Cincinnati Reds 3-2 in the third game of their three-match regular series encounter on July 21 at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati.
The Pirates played wonderfully and won with style. They hammered the Reds’ with great force and showed great consistency during the entire game.

Catcher Michael McKenry also played well and helped his team win an important game of the series. He played very well and hit hard on his four at bats. He scored one run on two hits while he remained consistent on his .324 slugging
percentage.
"That was the best I've ever seen Bailey, His velocity was up, his cutter was nasty and he was hitting his spots well," Jones said.
Shortstop Jordy Mercer also showed his great batting skills and proved one of the winning factors for the Pirates. He scored one run on one hit while he also ran for one RBI. He played wonderfully on his three at bats as he managed
to remain consistent on his slugging percentage of .385.
"It hurts when you have opportunities like that, You hope you're going to blow it open," manager Dusty Baker said.
Along with batters, the Pirates pitchers also played wonderfully and helped their team win an important game of the series.
Starting pitcher Jeff Locke pitched six innings and allowed one run on one hit. He allowed one earned and struck out six Reds’ batters on his persistent 2.11 ERA.
