While offering his remarks after confirmation of the extension, financial terms of which have not been disclosed by either side, Mike said:
"I am excited that I will continue to be the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers for years to come.”
The official added:

"We are pleased to announce that Mike Tomlin will remain with the Steelers for at least five more years.”
Tomlin’s current deal was into last year of his stipulated tenure but the team had an option of another year stay on his previous contract. He under new terms will be with the team through the 2016 season.
