  1. Hey, I'm sure you'll have fun here......you'll have to get used to us Yinzers though hahahahaha.....and be prepared for Roethlisberger and Crosby junk and talk everywhere you look. :-)

  2. I'm also a Wings fan in the Steel City. It made things a little rough during the Finals, but most people were OK with me wearing red and white. It's a great place to live where people live and die with their sports teams. I like it and I'm sure you'll like it, too.

  3. If your from Michigan, it might take you a while to get used to the altitude.  I went there to see the Wings play the Pens a couple years ago and I could hardly get out of my seat because I was so light headed.  Probably didnt help that I was staying on the 23rd floor of a hotel either.

  4. you definitely will not just hear malkin and crosby... ive lived there for 13 years now and i can tell you the city is awesome. pirate games and stiller games are fantastic. the pride in the city is awesome and theres a lot to offer. Whether it be the strip district or station square or the waterfront or south side works or primantis...dont forget primantis. or any of the nearby suburbs. Not to mention it won the Most Livable City in America last year. It is very underrated. You should love it.

  5. Dude! are you sure you want to live in carrick.....uh, just become an instant Steeler fan, beware of the inept roadways (someone on drugs designed them) and, good luck!

  6. That has to be h**l for a WING fan! All you will hear is CROSBY and MALKIN this, CROSBY and MALKIN that... take plenty of BARF bags!

  7. Congrats its the best!! the people are super friendly and the city is amazing

You better become a pens  and steelers fan or at least pretend you are lol jk

  8. It's a large city and I have been downtown when I went to my sons place about an hour from Pittsburgh. The bridge is very old and congested but the mountains are beautiful. My son could tell you more. Good hockey team and football team. I miss Three Rivers Stadium though. Oh ........back in the days of Franco Harris (who graduated from my high school in NJ and I knew him and his family well) and Terri Bradshaw but I can't stand Bradshaw as a commentator. He talks too much c**p.

I had a bagel in Pittsburgh and it was good!

  9. Stay away from an area called the Hill District

unless you like getting murdered lol

Homewood & Wilkinsburg are bad too

other than that it's ok i guess

  10. Get yourself a Steeler shirt and a Penguin shirt, a can of Iron City beer and you'll fit right in.

  11. haha, really? where at?

edit :: My advice though, go down the Strip District on a Saturday morning.. It's so unique. It surrounds the city but there's rarely ever traffic.
