Pivotal Prospect tipped to win Scott Trawlers Ltd Handicap
Pivotal Prospect is tipped to prevail in the Scott Trawlers Ltd Handicap (Betfair Sprint Flat Series Qualifier) at Carlisle in England on Monday, June 18, 2012. The winner of class-5 event will be awarded a cash prize of £3,235.
The going will be soft in the 5 furlong event, which is scheduled to start at 15:45 GMT. A total of nine entries had lined up for action and their names are as follows: Wild Sauce, Fama Mac, Pivotal Prospect, Boucher Garcon, Red Roar, Another Citizen, Ingenti, Tom Sawyer and Absa Lutte.
Out of the above mentioned runners Ingenti, Tom Sawyer and Wild Sauce might not be able to take part in the race. The conditions do not suit their running style, thus their respective trainers have decided to withdraw their names.
However, the fans at Carlisle will still be provided with some wonderful action of horseracing, as there are some fierce competitors up against each other. The best chances of victory appear to be with Pivotal Prospect, who does not have an impressive strike rate, but will definitely like the track conditions today.
The four-year-old filly has entered six races, winning one of them and finishing third on the same number of times. Her statistics show that she is not a consistent performer, but her recent form has been good.
Importantly, the Tracy Waggott’s trainee brought up her maiden victory in her most recent outing. She is carrying the winning momentum right now and it will be hard to stop her from taking the top spot.
Pivotal Prospect will be partnered by Shane B. Kelly, who has not enjoyed a lot of success at this level. He has earned a few victories, but needs to bring a lot more consistency in order to attract bets from the punters.
On the other hand, Fama Mac has managed to earn the confidence of the bookmakers, despite the fact that he has never managed to win any race in his career. He has participated in 12 events, securing three runner up positions whereas finished third once.
The five-year-old gelding has scored a couple of back to back runner up positions, which shows that he is carrying a decent momentum right now.
